Your Right to Delete Your Data

At Signal, we believe you should have full control over your personal data. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

What Data We Store

When you use Signal, we store the following types of data:

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials
  • Profile Data: Training preferences, goals, equipment availability, and settings
  • Training Data: Workout logs, set logs, personal records, and program history
  • Health Data: Readiness scores, sleep data, HRV metrics (if connected via wearables)
  • Subscription Data: Payment history and subscription status (processed securely via Stripe)

How to Delete Your Data

Option 1: Self-Service Deletion (Recommended)

You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app:

  1. Log in to your Signal account
  2. Go to Profile → scroll to the bottom
  3. Click "Delete Account" in the Danger Zone section
  4. Confirm your decision by typing "DELETE"
  5. Your account and all data will be permanently deleted

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access your account or prefer assistance, email us at privacy@signal.fit with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • The email address associated with your Signal account
  • Any additional verification information we may request

We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion via email.

What Happens When You Delete

When you delete your account:

  • Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you can no longer log in
  • Within 24 hours: All personal data is permanently deleted from our databases
  • Within 30 days: Data is removed from all backup systems

Data We May Retain

For legal and business purposes, we may retain certain anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you. This includes:

  • Anonymized usage statistics for improving our service
  • Transaction records required for tax and accounting purposes
  • Data required to comply with legal obligations

Third-Party Services

If you connected third-party services (like Strava or wearable devices), you may need to revoke access separately through those services. Deleting your Signal account removes all data we received from those services, but does not affect data stored by the third parties themselves.
